The Commercial / Desktop License is for using the full font in professional design work. It’s the right choice for client projects or your own paid projects, including branding, packaging, print materials, and static digital designs. You can use the font across everything a project needs—like ads, social content, posters, product packaging, and other visual assets—then export and deliver finished artwork as final files.
This license is project-based: one license covers one project, meaning one brand, one campaign, or one commercial initiative. If you start a new project for a different client or a separate campaign, you’ll need a new Commercial / Desktop License.
What is an “End Product”?
An End Product is the final output of a design project where the font is used as part of a finished design—not as a font file. Examples include posters, packaging, t-shirts, album covers, ads, social media graphics, and other final visual materials. End Products can be physical or digital and may be sold in unlimited quantities, as long as the font itself is not distributed or made accessible.
Is the Commercial / Desktop License per user or per project?
It’s both. One Commercial License covers one project (such as a brand, campaign, or commercial initiative) and one user. If more people work on the same project and need to use the font, each user must have their own license.
If you need to work across multiple projects or clients, the Global Agency License may be a better fit.
I have a clothing brand and I’m producing t-shirts. Do I need a license for every single product?
No. One Commercial License covers one project, such as a single clothing brand. This means you can design, produce, and sell unlimited products—t-shirts, hoodies, labels, packaging, and promotional materials—under that same brand.
However, the license is also per user. If multiple people are designing the graphics (for example, team members, freelancers, or collaborators), each person who uses the font must have their own Commercial License, even if they’re all working on the same brand.
Can I use the font to create a logo?
Yes. The Commercial / Desktop License allows you to create unregistered logos and brand identity materials, as long as the logo is used as a final visual design and the font file is not shared or redistributed. If you plan to register the logo as a trademark, or use the font as part of a legally protected brand identity, you’ll need a Logo License.
Can I use the font on my website?
It depends on how the font is used:
Can I share the font file with a friend, teammate, printer, or collaborator?
No. The font file itself may not be shared, uploaded, or distributed to anyone else. Each person who needs to use the font must have their own license.
You may share final, non-editable files (such as images or PDFs) for production or printing, as long as the font cannot be extracted or reused.
Can I use the font in videos (YouTube, social media, trailers)?
Yes, for online and social videos, the Commercial License is sufficient.
For TV, cinema, or broadcast streaming platforms, you’ll need a Broadcast License.
Can I use the font for merchandising or products for sale?
Yes. The Commercial License allows you to sell both physical and digital products that include the font as part of a final design.
The font may not be redistributed as a font file or included in editable products that allow others to reuse it.
Can I include the font in templates or editable files (Canva, Figma, PowerPoint, etc.)?
No. The Commercial License does not allow distributing the font in templates or editable files where others can access or reuse it.
For multi-user platforms or shared environments, a Custom or Global Agency License may be required.
Can I use the same Commercial License for multiple clients or projects?
Can I resell, sublicense, or redistribute the font?
No. Reselling, sublicensing, or redistributing the font file is never allowed under the Commercial License.
